I've been diagnosed with high cholesterol and acid reflux disease. I use Lipitor and Nexium to treat my conditions. The cost of these drugs is exorbitant! More Americans Abandoning Expensive Prescription Drugs

posted Tue, 7 Dec 2010

The inflated price of prescription drugs and rising co-pays negatively impacts the health and well being of Americans.

As recently reported in The Wall Street Journal, more and more people are abandoning their prescription drugs at the pharmacy due to inability to pay.

Financially strapped patients should not have to choose between their needed medications and other necessities like food and shelter.

Health care reform may offer limited relief, but patients can’t afford to wait. It’s crucial for patients to know that they can safely and affordably import their medications now.

Have you ever left a prescription at the counter after finding out how much it would cost? Please share your story with me.
