My wife, with Parkinson's disease, is the dreaded doughnut hole. A recent prescription would have cost us $565. I found I could fill the prescription through a licensed Canadian pharmacy for $49---from the same U.S. manufacturer! Mike

Drug importation as an election issue

posted Fri, 20 Jul 2012

Clare Caldwell, our Florida field organizer, is working to raise access to affordable medication to the level of a serious campaign issue in Florida. We're pleased to report that she had some success this week during a candidate forum in congressional district 19.

“All it takes is someone to ask the question,” says Clare. The question she posed at the candidate forum: “Would you vote for or against legislation to protect Americans' right to access safe and affordable medication from Canada?”

You can watch video of the candidates responses to Clare's question here:

Just place your cursor at 40 minutes and 50 seconds in order to get to the right place.

Which candidate would get your vote?
