Seniors with Medicare still skip high priced heart drugs
posted Sat, 2 Apr 2011A new study by the Mayo Clinic further illustrates the public health risk created by the outrageous price of prescription drugs.
Seniors with a history of heart failure were surveyed for the study. Almost half of the 209 patients said they had stopped taking their medication or had not filled a prescription because of cost. Also, even though 77 percent of patients in the study were eligible for Medicare, prescription drug prices were still a concern for some of them. Read more about the study.
